Aglow Cup 2026 brought together women through sport, wellness and breast cancer awareness, using padel as a platform to encourage healthier lifestyles and greater awareness of women’s health.

Organised by Aglow Clinic in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event took place at Pop Padel, Bamboo Hills, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday. It is described as Malaysia’s first women’s padel initiative led by an aesthetic clinic.

Behind the initiative is Dr Amelia Siah, founder, CEO and aesthetic doctor of Aglow Clinic, whose own experience with breast cancer inspired her to encourage more women to prioritise their health.

Dr Amelia discovered a breast lump in 2020, just months after giving birth to her first child and while preparing to open her clinic. She was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and oral medication.

Her treatment included 16 cycles of chemotherapy and 20 sessions of radiotherapy. After approximately one and a half years, she was declared cancer-free.

The experience changed her perspective on health and reinforced the importance of early awareness and regular health screenings.

“Aglow Cup is not just about playing padel. It is about bringing women together through sport and wellness, while creating space for an important conversation about our health,” said Dr Amelia.

She hopes the initiative will remind women not to put their wellbeing aside, whether by staying active, discussing their health concerns or going for regular check-ups.

Beyond the padel competition, Aglow Cup 2026 featured wellness sessions, health education and interactive activities. Participants could take part in Pilates and Core & Mobility classes, experience recovery massage sessions and explore other wellness activities.

The event also included Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) and breast self-examination education conducted by the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA), providing participants with information on breast health and the importance of early awareness.

The women’s padel competition offered a total prize pool of RM50,000, bringing a sporting element to an initiative centred on women’s wellbeing and community support.

In addition to raising awareness, Aglow Cup 2026 pledged to channel 100 per cent of its charity proceeds to BCWA. The contribution will support the association’s efforts in breast cancer awareness, education and assistance for communities affected by the disease.

Through the initiative, Aglow Clinic aims to create more opportunities for women to connect, stay active and have open conversations about their health.

Aglow Clinic is a Malaysian aesthetic and medical clinic group with 18 branches nationwide, offering services in medical aesthetics, skincare and wellness.
