Nothing like having dinner with a rooftop view on the 54th-floor to end your day. Uno Mas, located at the Centara Grand at centralwOrld, Bangkok will definitely take you on an unforgettable journey of culture and cuisine. Helmed by a Catalonian chef, the restaurant is split into three zones – the Wine Cellar, Tapas & Raw Bar and an Open-Air Dining Deck.

Take your pick to be seated at the top city skyline tables, cushioned divans or leather upholstered bar stools, surrounded by chic blue and warm Mediterranean tones. We, of course had to sit by the city skyline tables and started off our meal with an Artisan Bread Basket which comprises of Olive oil bread, bell pepper brioche and mini baguette. The bread had a soft interior and a light crispy crust and tasted delicious with the olive oil dip.

We kickstarted our meal with the Seafood Tapas – Gambas “Pil Pil”.  ‘”Pil pil'” is a word used in Spanish and Basque cuisine that describes a sauce made with garlic and chilli infused in hot olive oil. The fragrance and the sauce took the Tiger prawns to another level. We very much enjoyed it with our bread.

Smoked Salmon Mille Feuille, a savoury appetizer was such a pretty and scrumptious dish. The explosion of flavours in your mouth of sweet, sour, crunches and freshness was divine. Next on, we had the Octopus – it was soft, tender and served with a Paprika Mousseline. The presentation of the “Txanguarro” caught our eyes. Txangurro is a species of spider crab that is often used in Basque cuisine and this was served in shiso leaves with citrus caviar. The finale of our mains was the Uno Mas Paella – comes with free range yellow spring chicken and seafood. The serving was generous of course and it was very impressive.

Sponge Cake “Brazo Gitano”
Chocolate Delirium

We were definitely taken on a culinary journey and filled to the brim with astounding tastes but we could not leave without trying the desserts. We opted for the Sponge Cake “Brazo Gitano” and Chocolate Delirium. Both of the desserts were to die for. If we could give a standing ovation for our dinner, we would. Not only was the surrounding atmosphere just right, the staff was also very attentive to our requests and was able to help us understand the dishes more.

So, if you do make a trip to Bangkok, make sure to put Uno Mas into your list of must-visit! You will not be disappointed but in fact, you will go home forever having that lingering taste of their food arched in your minds.
