Perhaps one of the best things about meeting new people at new places is that you create a memory. And, just like travelling, you make the best out of it so that it’s etched in your mind, body and soul. That is exactly how the four of us met! We were all doing the things we loved for work – entertainment, media and lifestyle. We bonded through all our common interests – hence Travellah was born.

Travel as we know is the movement of people between distant geographical locations. Travel can be done by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, ship or other means, with or without luggage, and can be a one way or round trip.

The term lah however is a famous suffix we Malaysians (and Singaporeans) use to complement any sentence available in a social conversation. The origins of this slang is basically from the Malay and Chinese language.

The combination of these two words Travel and lah also makes the word ‘travellah’ a substitute for another way to say ‘traveller’ with some attitude !

Travellah is a bilingual travel website and we aim to share with others the beauty of our own language – Bahasa Melayu through our articles without neglecting the English language as well. Hence, we have writers who are also bilingual. Let’s meet the people behind Travellah.
