In conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year celebration, Malaysia Airlines and Le Méridien Putrajaya are heralding the Year of the Dragon on a high note by partnering up to bring a curated menu offering which will be made available from 9 to 14 February 2024 at all the airline’s Golden Lounges in KLIA Terminal 1.
Travellers visiting the Golden Lounge Satellite, Golden Lounge Regional and Golden Lounge Domestic during this time will have the opportunity to indulge in a special menu curated by Chef Lim Kian Ming, Executive Chinese Chef for the Le Mei Chinese Restaurant of Le Méridien Putrajaya, which promises a flavourful and memorable feast rich in culture.
Guests can enjoy an abundant selection of curated dishes at the buffet spread, including crispy chicken with balsamic vinegar sweet and sour sauce (彩凤迎春), stir-fried mee hoon with extraordinary sauce (寿比南山), and a nourishing braised crab meat soup with fish maw and dried scallops (宏图大展). They can anticipate a flavour outburst from halibut fillet with honey soy sauce (龙鱼得水), braised bean curd with wild mushroom (洪富齐天), and braised ginkgo nuts, along with bean curd skin paired with seasonal vegetables (金银珠宝).
Guests dining in the airline’s Platinum Lounge (Satellite) will enjoy the addition of pan-fried cuttlefish cake (黄金满载), Canada codfish fillet with honey soy sauce (年年有余) and complete the meal with chilled mango puree with vanilla ice cream, pomelo, and sago (金玉满堂) for dessert – a perfect toast to an auspicious new year.
In addition to providing end-to-end premium services and access to its renowned Golden Lounges, passengers and frequent flyer members travelling on Business Class, Enrich Platinum, First Class on codeshare flights (Malaysia Airlines operated flights), oneworld First Class, and oneworld Emerald can indulge in the Chinese New Year meals while enjoying the picturesque view from the lounges before their departure. Economy Class passengers may also purchase their access to the Golden Lounge via the Journify website or mobile app.
