Xin Nian Kuai Le (Happy New Year). It is an auspicious time to herald new beginnings. As the year of the
wood Snake is believed to bring joy, positivity and abundant of prosperity, the Concorde team had put
together a great Chinese New Year (CNY) showtime.
Guests were captivated by an exhilarating lion dance performance and vibrant entertainment in celebration of the 2025 Chinese New Year celebration held on January 30.
The highlight for the day was of course, watching and greeting the Xuan Long lion dance troupe followed by the yee sang toss, having photographs taken with special mascots, greeting the Choy San Yeh (God of Prosperity) and not to mention visiting a special mini petting zoo.


Lions showed off lively acrobatic moves and leaped on high poles with perfect swiftness and accuracy. The lions blessed the hotel and went to hotel outlets, offices bringing with them the energetic sounds of the drums and cymbals. Hotel guests, both locals and foreigners, took the chance to enjoy the performance.
Ampang Hotel Sdn Bhd’s Chairman, Tan Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed, Director together with Concorde Hotel KualaLumpur’s General Manager, AarronNelson received the ‘platter ofprosperity’ comprising mandarin oranges, pomelos, banana and green lettuce from the lions. Next, the yee sang toss ceremony took place in the lobby.


Yeesang, also known as a colourful raw fish salad was beautifully placed on two round tables shaped in the figure of eight. It is a dish considered as a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigour.
Everyone present at the lobby enjoyed tasting yee sang dish and for some foreigners seen, the entire programme was indeed colourful and memorable.
The entire showcase by the Concorde was a sign of unity and harmony whilst keeping traditions alive. Guests continued to have photos taken and continued feasting.
Inconjunction with the year of snake, the Hotel together with Kalxotic Enterprise organized a mini petting zoo at a function room which featured several snake species, albino reticulated python, cornsnake, ball python along with other animals such as bearded dragon, sailfin dragon, iguana, meerkat, prairie dog, dumpy tree frog, tarantula and leopard gecko.

The entire experience had everyone enjoying the carnival-like CNY showcase. It wasa joy to see beautiful smiles, uniting all guests from all walks of life during the celebration
