Local Malaysian brand Tangoo proudly unveiled its latest fashion collection, Venus Ascendant, at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2025 today. This evening’s presentation by visionary designers Eric Yeong and Moses Law saw romantic silhouettes dominating the KLFW 2025 runway at the Esplanade, KLCC Park.
This new collection draws its inspiration from classical mythology, Botticelli’s iconic “The Birth of Venus,” and the enchanting dreamscape of pearls, celestial motifs, and fluid drapery, making it a poetic tribute to Venus, the famed goddess of love.
The Tangoo fashion show at KLFW 2025 opened with a striking contemporary dance performance by Jimmy Wong – a dramatic prelude that mirrored the collection’s ethereal energy. The specially choreographed dance was Wong’s tribute to friendship, movement, and transformation, embodying the soul of Venus Ascendant.
Under the creative direction of visionary designers Eric Yeong and Moses Law, Venus Ascendant tells the story of transformation — from silence to strength, from spirit to silhouette. It’s a celebration of inner radiance and rebirth, capturing the divine essence of femininity and fluidity in motion. Every garment evokes the shimmering grace of Venus rising from the ocean, blending softness, power, and elegance.
“We want this collection to feel like a dream — a moment where fantasy and fashion meet. Venus Ascendant is about rising into your light, embracing your softness as strength, and dressing with heart,” said Yeong and Law.
The evening’s lineup revealed womenswear and menswear ensembles with flowing fabrics, layered textures, and radiant embellishments showcasing Tangoo’s vision, and talent in fine tailoring. There were expressions of craft, with wired velvet-wrapped corsets, delicate pearl embroidery, sculptural roses, handmade accessories and embroidered embellishments revealing meticulous craftsmanship from the designers.
From gilded gowns and pearlescent sheers to structured capes and modernised togas, each piece in Venus Ascendant balances classic luxury with a dreamy, fantastical energy. Gold, ivory, oyster, and moonlight hues form the colour story, whispering of ancient divinity and modern glamour. The glistening textiles and draped satins in the womenswear draw emphasis to sensuality and softness while the tailored menswear reinterprets the masculine with an ethereal twist — strength softened by emotion.
For the fabrics, sheer organdy is used on selected outfits for a crisp but delicate finish while the glossy finish of satin mirrors the lustrous elegance of pearls that have helped inspire and have been incorporated into the collection.

- Hand-appliquéd embroidery and 3D detailing
- Sculptured silhouettes for both men and women
- Artisanal use of pearls, crystals, and gold metal organza
- Velvet-wrapped wired corsetry and textural layering
- A showstopping finale piece inspired by angels and created using recycled materials.
