Over the last several months Melia Hotels International has opened three hotels across Spain, including the launch of the first ZEL hotel with tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Below are the three mentioned hotels.
Meliá Hotels International unveiled Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote in Spain in August
The Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote features 282 rooms and villas and seven dining options. Designed by renowned Spanish architect Fernando Higueras and César Manrique, the building combines rationalist architecture by Higueras with murals, an expansive pool and tropical gardens designed by the Canarian artist and painter. The hotel is a luxury five-star adults-only property, with direct beach access, a spa, gym, meeting rooms, an 1,800 m2 outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, rooms with private pools, villas, and extensive dining options. The hotel, the second in Europe from the luxury resort brand Paradisus by Meliá, is Destination Inclusive®, with experiences included in the stay. Experiences range from guided tours to popular tourist sites, like the Jameos del Agua or the Cactus Garden, to artistic excursions, like the emblematic El Grifo winery with its vines intertwined in the volcanic ash that is characteristic of the island.

ZEL Mallorca, by tennis legend Rafael Nadal and Meliá Hotels International opened in June
Zel Mallorca presents an inspirational experience that pays tribute to the unmistakable lifestyle of a Mediterranean home. The 165-room property includes 21 Suites and Junior Suites with incredible views of the sea. ZEL Mallorca also offers stellar culinary options, including Beso Beach with cuisine from the heart of the Mediterranean and the Basque Country. Wellness is another essential element at the hotel with professional trainers, who create personalized routines for guests, two pools, a large gym with cutting-edge equipment, multifunction heated rooms for a greater challenge, hanging equipment for outdoor activities, and meditation spaces. They also offer a programme of concerts, music sessions and excursions. Guests can enjoy sports boot camps and tastings of local products at incredible locations, or they can explore some of the island’s most iconic destinations either on foot or on a bike, with routes exclusively selected by Rafa Nadal himself. The new hotel is in Palmanova, Mallorca, is just 20 minutes from the airport, and right alongside a beach with over 1,000 meters of white sand and crystal-clear waters at its doorstep.

Paradisus Gran Canaria, the luxury Destination Inclusive® resort brand by Meliá debuted in March
Paradisus Gran Canaria Hotel, located on the idyllic island of Gran Canaria, opened in March. The property offers 297 rooms and suites, avant-garde wellness facilities with the latest technology, and nine dining areas that offer the best of world cuisine and traditional local flavors. The hotel offers an innovative experience that reinvents the traditional “all-inclusive” service by including experiences in tune with the destination, from cooking workshops to excursions to the most secluded or iconic locations in the region, along with experiences at coffee plantations, distilleries and wineries. Gran Canaria, the third largest island in the Canary Islands, is considered a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The long coastline and endless beaches of white and golden sands, a lunar landscape, and fantastic weather, make the island one of the most popular travel destinations in Spain.
