Southeast Asia is indeed famous for its wide array of attractive tourist destinations. It’s no surprise, then, that there are increasingly more airlines in the region. In fact, all these airlines are competing to provide the best services.
VietJet is one of the airlines that is gaining popularity among ASEAN travelers. It is a popular airline based in Vietnam. In addition to focusing on regional flights at very competitive prices, it also operates long-haul flights to several exotic destinations such as India, Korea, Japan, Australia, and even Kazakhstan.
Founded in December 2011, it quickly became a leader in affordable and competitive domestic flights throughout Vietnam.

Travellah was recently given the opportunity to experience the services offered by VietJet by becoming a ‘SkyBoss’ passenger.
We had the chance to fly from Kuala Lumpur to their newest destination, Hanoi, as well as the famous tourist island of Phu Quoc.

VietJet offers several types of flight tickets based on the fare category available.
Their lowest fare ticket is in the Eco category, which offers the basics—seating and a 7kg carry-on bag. The Deluxe ticket follows, which allows for 20kg of checked luggage, seat selection, flight time changes (subject to availability), as well as cabin items in addition to the 7kg carry-on bag.
However, their SkyBoss ticket is the premium option, offering various amenities and top-notch services throughout the flight. It’s similar to business class on most airlines.
Along with the services similar to those for Deluxe ticket holders, SkyBoss passengers are given the opportunity to check in at a special counter without having to stand in long lines. Checked baggage is also heavier, at 30kg, plus a 10kg carry-on for each passenger.
SkyBoss passengers are also typically given priority baggage and receive their luggage before other passengers when arriving at the destination airport.
After check-in, they can spend their time in a special VIP lounge while waiting for the flight.

Of course, this lounge offers various meals for passengers to enjoy, in addition to bathroom facilities and more comfortable resting areas.
What’s even more special, SkyBoss passengers are transported to the aircraft by private vehicle, avoiding the need to crowd onto a bus with other passengers.

Upon arrival at the plane, SkyBoss passengers are given priority boarding and are warmly welcomed by the VietJet cabin crew.

SkyBoss passengers are also served a special welcome drink as soon as they settle into their seats at the front of the plane. With more spacious seating, the journey is made more comfortable without disturbances.
Moreover, SkyBoss passengers can order as much food and drink as they like on board with no limit! The food options are varied, and for Muslim passengers, there are vegetarian or seafood choices.
For flights to and from Malaysia, halal options such as Nasi Lemak are also available!

When Travellah experienced this service, we were served a complete meal with freshly cooked boiled eggs. Flying with VietJet was truly comfortable and enjoyable.
While enjoying the delicious meals, passengers can also read the VietJet magazine, which shares interesting information about tourist destinations and lifestyle developments.
They also sell duty-free items through the in-flight catalog.
We really enjoyed our flight with VietJet and had a wonderful time exploring Hanoi and Phu Quoc. Our connecting flight to Phu Quoc went smoothly without any issues.

So, if you’re looking for a comfortable flight at an affordable price with plenty of amenities for your next vacation, try VietJet. We’re sure you’ll love it!
