Locallly bred designer brand Rizman Ruzaini recently unveiled a practical and stylish ‘Cruise Collection’ at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week about a week ago.
This summer collection by Rizman Ruzaini is inspired by the story of Murder on the Orient Express. The tale of a luxurious train journey, the Orient Express, which was highly popular around the 1930s.
By chance, the luxurious Orient Express was departing for London, and world-renowned detective Hercule Poirot boarded the train. A murder occured on the train, forcing him to solve it. Thus, every passenger on the train became a suspect in this murder, including a woman named Sophia.
Who is Sophia?
Sophia is a portrayal of a noblewoman character who is beautiful, orderly, and elegant in her late 40s. She hails from Malaya and has a mixed Malay-Eurasian heritage. She is a solitary figure, mysterious, not talkative, only smiling and giving a glance as a signal for conversation.
She is one of the passengers on the Orient Express for her journey from Istanbul to Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest, and disembarking in Paris.
During the journey, Sophia alternates her style and fashion according to the destinations visited by the train. Starting with a yellow kebaya and wearing a peach-coral cape coat over it, along with a headscarf, she looks stunning and captures the attention of those who look at her.
Every style she carries reflects the culture of the country being visited by the train, making her shine like a gemstone on the train.
Sophia eventually concludes her journey and disembarks in Paris. It turns out she is not the murderer; it’s just her unique character that makes her suspected and unforgettable. Indeed, Sophia’s aura is extraordinary and full of mystery…
