Dorsett Hospitality International is pleased to announce the appointment of Harmesh Singh as the new General Manager for Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur with immediate effect.

Harmesh brings with him a wealth of experience having worked in the industry for more than 20 years with a notable focus on Sales and Marketing as well as operations.

He began his career in 1999 with the Mandarin Singapore and later moved back to Malaysia to further advance his hospitality career with the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur and later on, with the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

In 2006, he diversified into the tour and travel related field and was the Operations Manager for Tour East Malaysia and subsequently joined Look Asia Holidays Malaysia as Executive Director in 2008.

In 2011, Harmesh once again stepped back into the hotel industry and joined Country Heights Holdings, the parent company of Palace of The Golden Horses & Mines Wellness Resort @ Philea Resort as Group Director of Sales & Marketing, a position he held until 2013, when he was appointed as Senior Director of Sales & Marketing for Tanjung Rhu Langkawi, Malaysia.

Until his recent appointment, Harmesh was the Director of Sales & Marketing for WEIL Hotel, a 5-star hotel in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, a position he held since 2018.

With his vast knowledge and expertise in the hotel industry, Harmesh will be a great addition to the family of Dorsett Hospitality International.  In his new role, he will be totally responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring optimal growth and importantly managing profitability of the hotel for the group.  Harmesh reports directly to Clarence Wong, Chief Operating Officer of Dorsett Hospitality International MY.

In addition to his role at Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur, Harmesh is also the newly appointed General Manager for the 347-room Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur located at Leboh Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  To find out more about Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur, log on to
