Lancôme has announced Neelofa as the first Southeast Asia (SEA) Regional Ambassador in an unprecedented step for the French luxury beauty house, making her also the first Malaysian to represent the brand on a regional stage. The actress, entrepreneur, and TV host’s appointment marks a significant milestone in connecting the brand’s iconic joie de vivre heritage in a diverse, sophisticated landscape of modern beauty.
“Lancôme has been incredibly supportive of my career over the last five years, and it has been a dream to work with a brand that shares the same values of always pursuing happiness, dreams, and living life to the fullest in the most beautiful and meaningful way,” said Neelofa.
A universal beauty that is the embodiment of feminine strength, independence, and determination, Neelofa will be representing all three key categories; skincare, makeup, and fragrance across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand markets. Neelofa will also be featured in Lancôme’s first ever Eid campaign in 2021.
“Neelofa is emblematic of the charismatic Lancôme woman whose outer beauty is a reflection of her inner happiness. After our five great years working in partnership with her, we are extremely proud to be able to celebrate this tremendous milestone of Neelofa being named as the first Malaysian as the first Southeast Asia (SEA) Regional Ambassador,” said Lancome’s Brand General Manager, Angeline Foo.
“This is the perfect synergy between the brand’s 85-year-old heritage, the #1 serum in Asia that is Advanced Génifique; and the star – Neelofa. Here, icon meets icon meets icon,” she added.
As the embodiment of modern femininity and elegance, the Lancôme woman is epitomised by renowned international ambassadresses and icons—Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Lily Collins, Zendaya, Amanda Seyfried, Lupita Nyong’o, and Taylor Hill, who inspire women through their confidence, independence, and inner strength. Similarly, Neelofa’s effortless charm, unwavering drive, exceptional wit, and timeless grace represents the identity of Lancôme’s values in her capacity as the brand’s first SEA Regional Ambassador.
Neelofa’s appointment was made on a Facebook countdown announcement with top influencers, media, and her fans, and also saw the launch of the #LiveYourStrength campaign, which empowers women to come out stronger through these challenging times. With a focus on self-care during a global pandemic that has affected many of us physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially, the campaign encourages women to take a moment to check-in with themselves and to recognise their inner strength.
In sharing the momentous appointment and to inspire Malaysians to step out with skin confidence, along with a more resilient and brighter outlook in embracing the new normal together, Lancôme will be rolling out the #MYStrongerSkin campaign.
10,000 complimentary 7-day trial kits containing its signature Advanced Génifique serum along with a 7-day series of beauty and well-being routine challenges will be made available through the Lancôme website ( https://www.lancome.com.my/product/gs-genifique-30ml-starterkit/#try ) between now and October 31 to encourage a stronger, beautiful mind along with healthier more radiant and youthful skin.
