Marina Bay Sands has re-opened and is welcoming guests back with a renewed hospitality experience that is focused on refreshed offerings built around a clean and safe environment. From indulging in gastronomical F&B treats, enjoying a stay at the iconic hotel, to engaging in retail therapy and a visit to the museum, guests can experience Marina Bay Sands’ refreshed offerings with peace of mind.
Following a rigorous certification process and field audits conducted across the integrated resort (IR) in July, Marina Bay Sands was recently awarded the highly lauded SafeGuardTM Hygiene Excellence and Safety Label by Bureau Veritas (BV), a nearly 200-year-old worldleader in testing, inspection and certification. This label comes four months after Marina Bay Sands received the SG Clean quality mark in April, a certification awarded by the Singapore Government to businesses and organisations that commit to sector-specific high standards of environmental public hygiene.
Mr. Paul Town, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at Marina Bay Sands, said: “As we continue to adapt to the evolving environment, having a rigorous regime with the highest standards of hygiene and safety protocols is the new baseline. The Bureau Veritas certification is testament to our commitment to raise standards in safety and hygiene excellence, and to give assurance and peace of mind to our guests as we welcome them back.”
Across the property, hygiene and sanitisation frequency has been ramped up significantly, while attractions are utilising technology to manage visitor flows in a reduced capacity setting. At the Hotel, a new queue management system introduced in August staggers guest arrivals and controls venue capacities at the Infinity Pool and Fitness Centre. Deep cleaning is conducted regularly – from the intimate confines of guest rooms to the public areas of the IR’s sprawling complex. To maximise fresh-air intake, the IR has increased external air flow into the building and is optimising exhaust air quantities for removal. Where possible, hospitalgrade HEPA filters have been installed to trap and remove particles and viruses.
To welcome visitors back, Marina Bay Sands has also launched a re-opening campaign, which includes year-round perks and privileges, such as staycation packages with complimentary room upgrades, double the usual rewards across dining and shopping, discounts at Banyan Tree Spa and attractions, free all-day parking, and more. From now until 15 September, the IR is offering two attractive staycation packages to all visitors. Valid for stays from now till 23 December 2020, the Stay Longer, Save More deal offers staycations from S$299++ a night,
with a S$60 destination dollars credit per night for a minimum two-night stay for Sands Rewards LifeStyle (SRL) members, while the Sands Staycation package starts from S$339++ a night, with a S$50 destination dollars credit per night for SRL members.
