According to Wikipedia, Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC),is a country in East Asia. The main island of Taiwan, also known as Formosa, has an area of 35,808 square kilometres, with mountain ranges dominating the eastern two-thirds and plains in the western third, where its highly urbanized population is concentrated. The capital, Taipei, forms along with New Taipei City and Keelung the largest metropolitan area. With around 23.9 million inhabitants, Taiwan is among the most densely populated countries.

Travellah was recently invited to discover Taiwan under the Salam Taiwan programme, organised by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau. The trip was to let Muslim travellers explore the island nation’s beauty and countless other Muslim friendly attractions and venues.

Here our fellow traveller shares some of our favourite images captured through our lens from Kaohsiung, Taichung, Tainan and Taipei.
