The much anticipated night for fans of Singaporean singer Imran Ajmain finally came to be on Feb 2nd, when he stole the evening with his concert titled ‘Malam Seribu Tahun Imran Ajmain’ which took place at the Menara KEN in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.

Fulfilling the requests of his fans, the star known for his ballads performed more than 15 of his most popular tracks in addition to several cover songs.

The night opened with guest singer Mohsein Kush accompanied by Indie songstress Heidi Moru. Their melodious voices graced the hall with several tunes before Imran took the main stage.

Imran kicked off the music with the song Taurus (Penawar Rindu) taken from his first album ‘Dengan Secara Kebetulan.’

After turning on the atmosphere, the event continued as he belted out ‘Intan dan Perak’ followed by ‘Hanya Menari’ and the popular ballad ‘Di Kalung Kasihan’. Imran, who is also known as a talented lyricist, also sang his haunting and poetic masterpiece ‘Ghaibmu’.

Receiving a thunderous response from the fans, Imran who also likes to talk, had time to chat with the audience and thanked the fans who were willing to attend the auspicious affair.

Singing his most popular hit songs of almost two decades, the concert hall was filled with the background singing of around 600 audience members who sang along with him every time a song was performed that night.

This was clearly evident when he delivered his popular songs such as ‘Selamat Ulang Tahun Sayang,’ ‘Sudah Tu Sudah’ and (the writer’s personal favorite) ‘Jika Engkau Pergi’.

The night was also made extra special when Imran sang a song written by his late father Ahmad Husaini Ajmain called ‘Apa Salah Beta’.

Imran also took the opportunity to brighten up the night by inviting the audience to sing the song ‘Allah Selamatkan Kamu’. He also delivered several other cover songs such as ‘Kekasih Awal dan Akhir’ and ‘Nada Merindu’.

The night also witnessed Imran taking the opportunity to introduce his latest single ‘Padam dan Pergi’.
The evening however would certainly not be complete without the rendition of his eponymous claim to fame ‘Seribu Tahun’ which was the grand finale of the night.

The fans were equally appreciative while chanting the hit until the end of the event.

Imran, who was able to share some time with members of the media right after the show , said that his success could not have been achieved without the solid support of his loyal fans as well as his family and friends.

He also stated that personally the night was a great success for him as he thinks he does not have that many popular hits compared to his fellow peers who started out around the same era.

We at Travellah wish him all the best and well done on a succesful and memorbale evening.

May we see more of Imran Ajmain in the years to come!
